Biography
Occupation: Protector
Clan Status: Upper Class
Mate: None
Remara was abandoned as an egg and never knew her family. Instead, she was raised by Jae and Meelo, leaders of a newer clan centered at the edge of the Gladeveins. Remara was the first hatchling of the clan and grew up with Glizamar, a Pearlcatcher who had been gifted to the clan as a gesture of peace from a neighboring clan. As the only young dragons in the clan, Remara and Glizamar became close friends. They were often found exploring the edges of the Wilds together and generally causing mischief for the clan.
When they were older, Glizamar's old clan offered to tutor him temporarily, as they thought it was vital that he learned about his ancestry. Saddened at the loss of her friend, Remara grew lonely. Qualei and Kejaro offered to train her in fighting techniques and Remara happily accepted. Though she was encouraged to only use her skills for protecting her clan, Remara grew more and more talented as her training advanced. Though she was small, she could often tire out her mentors with her speed and she was soon joining them on most of their patrols.
Before long, Glizamar returned to the clan, now with the knowledge that his clan of Pearlcatchers had taught him. Remara was overjoyed at the return of her childhood friend, but she found that he was now often distant and terse when she tried to connect with him. Finally, confused and upset, Remara confronted Glizamar and demanded to know what was wrong. Glizamar confessed that since he had returned from the clan of Pearlcatchers, he had been noticing how lesser a Mirror like Remara was, particularly since her love of fighting had grown so much. He now viewed her as just another blood-thirsty Mirror. Heartbroken, Remara swore to prove herself to be just as a good a dragon as Glizamar was. She fled the clan, much to the distress of Meelo and Jae.
In an attempt to prove to herself that her fighting skills made her worthy, Remara joined a collection of clans in the middle of a war with an opposing group of Imperial dragons. Remara fought in as many battles as she could and grew more and more skilled at killing and fighting. Soon, she became convinced that she had found her true calling in the war. But during one brutal battle, the bodies of murdered Imperial dragons congealed into a rare Emperor dragon. Remara's entire legion was killed and she escaped with terrible injuries. The Mirror fled and hid at the edges of the Foxfire bramble. Unfortunately, she was discovered and nearly killed before a young Imperial who had escaped the mass of his murdered brethren defended her. He stood in front of her, blocking her from the Emperor's sight and the monstrosity left, not willing to kill one of it's own. The Imperial, known as Ashama, had been gravely injured in the same fight as Remara. Though they had been on opposite sides, Remara did her best to heal the Imperial and decided that violence between clans only brought pain and anger to those who survived. She soon returned home, giving up her life of fighting.
Once back with her clan, Glizamar apologized profusely and promised to never insult her again, especially after seeing her war scars. Ashama was welcomed into Jae's clan and stayed close friends with Remara and a Skydancer by the name of Viviana, who had joined the clan while Remara was away. Remara continued on to be the chief protector of the clan and trainer of the younger members of the clan who wished to join her defense patrol. She later took on an apprentice, Chay, who helped her to protect the clan.
