    When Eve was just a tiny hatchling, she had a tendency to float away from her clan. A true Wind dragon, Eve let the breeze carry her, not minding where she ended up. She also happened to spend most of her time in the sky daydreaming; although she was carefree, it caused her parents a great deal of worry. They wondered whether Eve would notice if she got into danger.

    After spending some time thinking about her predicament, Eve's mother hatched a plan. She got to work crafting a big, distinctive balloon and attached it to her daughter's wrist. This would make Eve nice and obvious, she hoped. She showed a picture to all the neighbouring clans and asked them to keep an eye out for the balloon, and in turn, the Spiral attached to it. Explaining that Eve was too far from home if they spotted her, she requested that they get her back to the ground and help her return to her clan.

    For many months, the trick worked! Eve's parents were relieved; for now. However, they realised that she was obviously keen to fly the nest and that she would soon be old enough. They started to go on family expeditions, teaching Eve how to navigate properly and how to deal with the various weather conditions across Sornieth.

    When Eve left the Windswept Plateau, her family felt sad, but were also pleased that she was going off on her very own journey. They waved her off and wished her luck, smiling as they saw her and her balloon fly off into the distance. Although she had no need for it any more, she wanted something to remind her of home.

    Eve currently works as The Estate's journalist, gathering together stories from the island and beyond. She still adores travel, and it helps her to find the best stories.
