"He stomped through the forest, the gravel path bit at his claws. The huge dragon towered over all of the small creatures and plants; a blindfold covered his eyes and green hanging swamp moss flapped from his wings. Beautiful golden silks were out of place on this mess of a dragon, and bones were strung between the skin flaps.Suddenly, the great beast stopped. His nostrils twitched as he smelled someone before him. What? Who was it? He took a few more steps and stopped, realizing that there were two dragons before him. He paused behind a bush, pressing his paw to the ground to sense the tremors. With a startled jolt that tore at his chest, he realized they were fighting. It was silent before, but now he could hear it. They grunted and shouted as they punched and swung at each other. One was obviously weaker, much, much weaker. He gasped as the larger one shoved the other down on the ground, claws at his throat. With a roar, he exploded from the brush. His enemy snarled, then fell backwards in terror as the dragon stood on his hind legs. Belphegor yanked off his blindfold and his one blind eye shone a scorching purple. With a scream the dragon scrambled away as fast as he could as the fear spell hit him right between the eyes. Sighing, Belphegor tied his blindfold once more. He hated how one could ruthlessly beat another, and for no good reason. The witch reached down kindly to make sure the sprawled dragon was okay. His claws sprung back almost as if they had a life of their own when he touched wet blood. He roared once more, this time in complete anger. The birds flew off the treetops and into the sky beyond, the loud noise terrifying them. Belphegor’s eye narrowed. So many die, and with no hero to save them. I will protect. I will always protect. He shivered, and sat down sadly. Pulling off his blindfold once more, he cast the burial spell."
