"She is a special one, that much is certain..." - Ramona

For an age the warming season of the thaw has been called by the name of Verna, made of three months: Vernamorn, Midverna, and Vernawan.

This year, an already weak winter broke completely at the doorstep of Verna, and the soothsayer pronounced a fracturing of time, a day without a season, neither winter nor thaw. The dragons hatched on this day would be forever marked by this event, and to the clan Darjan came a skydancer. They named her VernaEve--an avatar of this rare day.

What role will she play? What powers will she inherit? It all remains to be seen... but the stars under which she was born will not stand this way again for four years, and so Ramona suspects she will have an extended life, a slower aging, and perhaps one foot in the world of spirits...
