,,,Healer Bobcat,,,
Curious - Analytical - Scientific - Unfriendly Bobcat, or so named 'Bob' is a Weeping Angel, an ancient species of dragon. It was a lonely life for them, as they would learn from the moment they were born. Their own parents couldn't look at her, nobody could. They could never play with their siblings, for fear of getting stuck forever. Quickly learning that they were on their own, and how to get their food. They were minding their own business, when one day, they came across their sister while hunting. Neither was expecting the other, and mistakenly looking up, they both met each other's eyes, sealing their fate. .... Centuries later, Bob finally found themself free. Free from being frozen as stone, slowly wasting away as pieces of them chipped off. They moved slowly, looking around with cautious curiosity. They were in the same place, but her sister's form was not there. A ways away, two Dragons walked away from her, back turned, and carrying the 'statue' which was in the middle of their potential Clan. Clearly they were moving it out of their way. Knowing that as soon as they came back to get them, their sister could escape, Bob too ran off, fleeing the sight before they could be seen again. .... Desperation was setting in. They knew most Weeping Angels were loners, but they wanted trustworthy company. Someone that wouldn't lock them. So, finally stretching their wings, they left the Icefield, flying across the land. Eventually ending up in the Shifting Expanse, Bob was almost immediately greeted with two dragons, just forming their clan. they had a good number of clan members, despite it being newly started. The kind Mirror, understanding Bob's condition, agreed to make their clan a safe place for them. Warily introducing themself, they made clear to any that when speaking to them, they needed to have their back turned. Quite a few protested that, but the rest obliged, if hesitantly, trusting them. After the Leader change, Bob became quite resentful toward Lucille, someone she may have once called at least an acquaintance. But no, here she was, trying to spread shade. Although most thought it to be the worst evil of all, Bobcat was quite indifferent toward it, seeing it only as a test subject that could be problematic. As the virus only began to spread throughout the clan, Bob quickly found that she was immune to it. Why, she wasn't sure, but she was determined to find out. Taking on the role of the Healer of the clan, Bob studied up on possible cures, quietly watching her Now with the new Shademother in place, Bob has begun experiments in an effort to better understand the shade, and shade-influenced dragons. Controlled Test #1 date 2.12.18 Test subjects #1 (Valence) and #2 (Cadenze) were born yesterday, hatching five hours apart. The eggs appeared to be in good health, warmed personally by their mother. Two hours before their hatching, they acquired a purple glow, from the inside. Subject Valence, upon birth appeared to be stillborn - underdeveloped, feeble with more bone showing than skin. However, in 00:05:42 he started moving. It was fascinating, it appeared his body had built itself out of bone, with enough joints to allow movement. It didn't stand a chance for flying, but he used his tail to propel himself forward. Meanwhile, its sibling had its organs and bones properly formed, but seemed to have a bright growth or rash covering half of its body. It seemed mostly unaffected for the first couple of hours, but the following hours its breathing was drastically impacted, and it almost perished that night. Cadenze is now in quarantine on life support, and being further tested on. 6:54 AM It's early morning, and I've just been alerted by guards that both Cadenze and Valence seem to be in some sort of seizure-like state. I am observing them firsthand, to be sure myself. Cadenze's sores seem to be swelling and preparing to burst, advanced quarantine methods are being employed now. Valence's skin seems to be further falling off, or solidifying. He seems to act like a teething hatchling, and is refusing food, water, or any assistance. 10:22 AM Second update - both subjects have emerged from their states. It seems to have been a transitioning period, to further adjust to their handicaps. Cadenze's sores had burst, emitting a shade-like substance, though much thicker and heavier. Samples have been acquired for study, but it appears harmless. The boils that had burst are being regrown once again, at an alarming rate. It appears to be 34% completed, at time of speaking. Further inspection will be required. Valence has been fluxuating, seemingly voluntarily. It seems to be aware of the action of flying, and is attempting it. It learns at a decreased rate, adjusting it's skin-to-bone ratios accordingly. Its longest liftoff is Responsiveness to stimuli (sound, touch, smell, sight) [✗] Appetite [✗] Intelligence [✗] Responsiveness to drug E-38M and F32-LH [ ] Controlled test #2 A second nest of shadegiven hatchlings has emerged. From subjects 004 (Sodom) and 005 (Gomorrah), they were completely coated in black shade goo. Note that these subjects have had many previous clutches, but none of the children survived to have the strength to hatch. 3:44 PM Three wyrms emerge, it appears to be two males and one female, but cannot be properly ID'd at this early age. Emergent #01 (Soreka) appears to be the strongest, emerging with all limbs intact and the proper amount of eyes. Immediately after hatching, it ingested it's egg, thus displaying a functioning digestive system. It then immediately sought out its mother and fell asleep. Responsiveness to stimuli [ X ] Appetite [ X ] Responsiveness to drug [ ] (none administered) 3:58 PM Emergent #02 has hatched. It appeared to struggle with escaping its shell, but eventually managed. It laid prone on the hatchery floor for approximately 20 minutes, before getting up and beginning to circle itself, head tilted to the left. It continued this behavior for several hours, until exhaustion forced it to lay down. After a short period of rest, it once again got up, and opened its eyes for the first time. Eyes appear normal, if a bit large for the size of its skull. It proceeded over to its sibling and began gnawing on its foot. No response from emergent 01. Responsiveness to stimuli [ X ] Appetite [ ] (inconclusive) Responsiveness to drug [ ] (none administered) 8:10 Emergent #03 finally breaks out of the shell, appearing to be bleeding from the effort. Its paws were scratched, and one eye appears to be injured from its shell. It lays prone, no response to stimuli or the scent of meat. After an hour of no movement, it gets up to eat its shell, as emergent 01 did, then goes back to sleep for several days.
