Sunfall was born in the Nature Flight, but shortly after he hatched he was reduced to an unwanted sacrifice to the gods. When his clan took him to the altar to make him an sacrifice for the gods, Shine, who was flying above to explore the Nature Flights area, saw him, dived down and grabbed him in the last minute. So the knife hit the altar and not the young, freshly hatched Snapper boy. So Shine took him with her back to her Arcane Flight home, calming down the scared hatchling until he fell asleep.
After he waked up again, Sunfall was introduced to the clan by Shine. The whole time Sunfall hid behind her legs and under her belly, scared of all the new faces. Shine calmed him so Sunfall mustered his courage and ventured out under Shines belly to meet all the dragons who kindly adopted him into the clan.
Since then Sunfall is living in the Arcane Flight together with Shine he chose to be his mother. The Snapper boy is kind of shy despite his appearance as an bulky fearless dragon. Once Ruto came into the clan he is the one who carries her around because he's scared of her actions. Despite Shine says, he should not let her treat him like that he doesn't have the courage for it and serves Ruto as her horse against his will.
