B I O G R A P H Y

After hatching during a sandstorm in the Abiding Boneyard, Catora found herself at the mercy of the elements. Driven by her wits and determination, she used her small size to hide from attackers and to ambush small lizards and other minuscule creatures. After years of surviving and growing up, Catora decided to teach herself how to fly. Manny months were spent leaping from high cliffs and mending broken bones from failed attempts. Through sheer determination, Catora taught herself how to fly though, like most Mirror Dragons, she preferred to feel the rough terrain under her claws.

A few years of living in solitude, Catora came across many clans. Some friendly, willing to offer hospitality, others cruel and aggressive towards outsiders. Catora saw they all had one thing in common, strong, valiant leaders who kept charge of the dragons within the clan. Catora admired them and decided that she would create a clan of her own. She searched for a territory with plentiful food and fresh water. Finding a hollowed out overhang in a mountain, Catora began digging it out and clearing away pests who had situated themselves in the overhang.

Her efforts caught the attention of another Mirror. A young male cautiously approached Catora's lair. Catora had smelt the intruder and hidden herself in a niche high in the overhangs walls. She watched him as he moved through before finally looking up to view her. At first she posed a hostile stance but the rival seemed unmoved. He just sat there, not intimidated by Catora's stance and she allowed him to stay while she continued cleaning out. The two would often have small conversations which grew longer as they came to know each other. Finally, Catora knew the Mirror's name. Gorescore. They two decided to share the overhang and,
after a while, Catora accepted Gorescore as her mate.

_FIRST MOVE_

____After the clan had grown to a substancial amount, many dragons complained about space and lack of storage in the Overhang. Catora met with the high council of the clan which included Gorescore, Aella, Dominus, Midnight, all the flight ambassadors and Jeques. The group came to a decision to move further inland towards the Wyrmwound. Catora sent out three scouts. Narscale, Cristeke and Jeques. The three would travel inland in search of territory that could support a medium clan of dragons. They returned with positive news.

____Catora traveled with Jeques to inspect the new area. At the centre of the territory was a massive rock in the shape of a flat oval,
it was leaning over an entrance into an abandoned lair and provided the perfect home for a medium sized clan. Food supply was in good shape and there were reasonably clean rivers a few minutes walk from the clan. The journey was arduous. Dragons had to keep watch both at the new and the old territory as possessions and food was transported across the bone dry sands. After a few weeks of flying back and forth, almost all of the clan had made themselves an area in the new clan. Catora and Gorescore were the last to leave, saying goodbye to their once loved home.

_NEAR LOSS_

____While the clan was rather small, Catora had to face many challenges. Disobedient members and attacks from rivals were two of the most common problems however there was a truly dark time in the clans history. A widespread drought caused food to seemingly disappear. it was slow at first, Catora would punish dragons who bought back small helpings due to not knowing the extent herself however she was quick to realise something was wrong. After going on a hunt herself she realised the extent of this crisis.

____The famine hit at a truly terrible time. there were many hatchlings in the Desovar at the time. Some of the more psychotic and desperate ones were trying to use the hatchlings as food but Catora didn't allow it. What would usually be a time of celebration, was a time of great despair as hatchlings needed more food to survive then the adults. Catora made a decision. All hatchlings, once old enough to train were to be sent to serve the Plague bringer in exchange for funds. No exceptions. Parents had little time to be with their young before they were sent off. Even after the food stocks returned to normal, there was an atmosphere of sorrow and pity. The desperation for food had caused parents to part with their hatchlings before they were ready and for a few weeks, the mood of the clan was dulled and dimmed.

Hm, Catora is definitely only sporting that look to be scary! In actuality, I headcanon her to be like the ruthless yet kindhearted leader who probably pulls off a few tricks! ~~aaa pls don't kill me if im wrong~~

Catora, how can you allow a monster like MITH to exist within your clan? He seems to be far more of a threat to you, even if he does have some uses.

Catora nodded her head, as though that question was one she was still attempting to figure out herself.

“MITH joined when our clan was much smaller, still there would be no way he could take on 8 dragons at once. Eventually, the clan grew bigger and I soon I saw that he just seemed content with watching and analysing the dragons. Somehow, I feel that despite his psychotic nature, he is actually happy to have a clan. I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong and he really is plotting and planning against me.

Though that being said, he does show particular protective behaviours if our clan is under attack. To be honest, he may still pose a threat but with the amount of dragons I have who follow me, his uses overtake the threat he poses and I would much rather have him as a destructive yet useful ally then an enemy”
