Biography

The clan led by Jasvinder and Keahi is full of oddballs, of dragons who will never bring glory to their own flights, for they are far to different from their kin. Odessa is different. Odessa is a daughter of the Plaguebringer - rotten to the core, spreading violence and firmly believing in the survival of the fittest. Her twisted, turned view of the world brings her more than one raised eyebrow from her clanmates.

But being a true warmonger, a born soldier of the plague, doesn't mean Odessa doesn't care for her kin. The only reason for her appearance in the clan is her brother Vikenti. Even when they were still hatchlings she always protected the weak little Skydancer from harm. When they grew of age and Vikenti decided to leave their homestead in the plagueridden lands of Lady Aneela, Odeassa joined him, oathing to keep him safe. Forever and always.

Today she is one of the main warriors of the clan, fighting alongside Jasvinder and Calfuray against the evil that threats their homestead. She spreads fear and panic under her enemy - and if they are true to themselves, under her clanmates as well.

The Children of the Shattered Snake

It was a dark, rainy night. It was cold, even for the northern lands of Sornieth, where the magic of the Arcane twists and turns all wildlife into fearsome creatures. Odessa always hated it. She could never understand why her weak little brother wanted to be here. But she would follow where he goes, as it was her oath. She was always left behind.

She spiraled towards her nest, where three arcane eggs just waited for the final incubation. Why did they have to be arcane? Weren't they close enough to the border to make them more like her, more like home? But there they were, small glowing pink eggs, hovering a few centimeters above the ground. The young spiral put her head besides one of the eggs, listening the the faint sound of what was inside.

Her mate has already left her. He fathered the eggs, as he was told, and then he left. And now she was all alone with the tiny little things inside their shells, just waiting to hatch. All she had to do was one final stretch. But she didn't want to. She stared at the eggs, for hours. And then she left.

When the eggs finally hatched, days too late and incubated by the rising sun, the three hatchlings were small, malnourished, but alive. Their mother was already away, left with Jasvinder to fight again against monsters beyond their imagination.

The only child not to leave the clan and to welcome their mother when she returned was Ahura. And with him, Odessas dream came true - a true plagueborn son, who would never leave her side. Ever.

Relationships

Calfuray and Odessa grew up like sisters and continue to fight side by side, keeping save the other members of the clan. But while Calfuray is calm and compassionate, hating to kill, Odeassa enjoys the fear in their enemys, the feeling of dominating the members of the beastclan. Sometimes, this scares Calfuray deep in her soul.
There is only one reason for Jasvinder to return to the battlefield again - to keep an eye out for Odessa. with every passing day she grews more cruel and enjoys killing a bit more. Jasvinder watches her with an ever growing fear.
Ahura is Odessas only child to stay with her. He comes a lot after his mother, twisted and cruel, but somewhat more collected. He is fascinated by the mysterious Iantha, following her everywhere, even fathering her children. Odessa hates Ianthas influence on her son.
Oberon slayed his older brother and took his place in the lair. Odessa has no idea that her beloved Ahura is dead and her younger son has usurped him.
Amiri might come closest to a true "friend" Odessa has. While both aren't the type for friendly banter, she is the only one to understand her fascinantion with all things plagueridden. Jasvinder suspects Odessa of smuggeling in artefacts and bloodsamples from the forbidden lands behind the borders of the Starwood Strand to the eerie young Coatl.
