Seryeshka Seryeshka runs the Jötunheimr library. It is little more than a small room down a small alley like tunnel filled with books and hand made bookshelves, but he tries his best to make it a respectable place for learning and reading. He runs it with the help of his Awakened familiar, a Spellbound Tome, and his kitten, Mittens. He is very stern and serious, and often tells off the dragons who borrow from the library for getting the books damp and wet. Dresden and the other clan elders have heard many a plea from Seryeshka to expand the library or at least fix the stone walls to stop the water getting in from the ice the room was carved in, but more important matters always come up before they can improve the library. But this stern, serious dragon has a hidden task that he silently bares without any of his clanmates knowing. He often visits libraries in other more scholarly focused lairs to buy used books for Jötunheimr, and while there he checks message board postings for rare books or other community messages. One day when he was reading through the messages, he saw a propaganda poster describing a clan in the Sunbeam Ruins as a paradise and dismissing Southern Icefield clans as barbaric wasteland dwellers. He corrected the mistakes on the poster, and returned a few weeks later with his own message for the board, telling the truth about how amazing and wonderful the Southern Icefields, and in particular Jötunheimr, are. But the Light Liar, as he calls the unknown attacker, posted their own response, this time even more harsh and with some utter slander about Seryeshka's own home. From then on Seryeshka has sought out the propaganda and showed the truth to all those who read library community message boards. Sometimes Seryeshka is dismayed by the weight of the task, but he carries on knowing the importance of his near holy mission, and because Mittens needs more catfood and he can get some on the way. |
