The Water Ambassador
Representative for Water interests, needs, beliefs and individuals within the clan.

Water: The Liquid That Forms the Seas, Lakes, Rivers and Rains
Neptune sits on the Elemental Council as the chosen Ambassador for the Water Flight within Clan Avarice. As well as being the foremost expert on Water lore, beliefs, needs, and morals, Neptune represents the interests of all Water-oriented dragons within the clan. The Elemental Council are 5th tier dragons in the hierarchy, although as Ambassadors and experts in their specific elements they command more respect than the average fifth tier dragon. The Elemental Council is advised by an Elemental Leader, who themselves sit under the guidance and control of The Diplomat, Azrael.

Neptune is not an overtly dangerous or aggressive dragon; he does not masquerade his strength or battle prowess like some others in the clan, and although he is large by virtue of his breed he is far from the biggest dragon in the clan. And yet, there is something darkly intimidating about this behemoth from the darkest depths of Sornieth's oceans.

Hatched in the Leviathan Trench, Neptune was adapted for deep-water living from day one. He has some very specific physical adaptation - gills, fins, the prey-enticing bio-luminescence of his hide and the bulb on his brow - and he is a fearless, effective swimmer. He is a lurker in the deep ocean, seeking out the trenches and valleys, the dark fathomless bottoms. He likes underwater caves, nooks, and crannies. Though not fond of open water he is not afraid of the great depths and pressures of the very deepest places of Sornieth. One can imagine him curled into a rocky crevice far beneath the waves, a glimmer of cerulean drawing curious fish near only to be inhaled into gaping jaws with the speed of a striking eel.

Neptune claims to have visited the Spiral Keep frequently before setting out for the oceans of Sornieth and coming across the Avarice clan, and few doubt this claim when they see him in the water. He is so perfectly adapted for this environment, and to see him dive and disappear fearlessly into the murky depths is to understand his love for the water regions. Neptune keeps to himself a lot, and always has, although he will speak eloquently on matters concerning water dragons when asked. For this reason, although he has no close compatriots within the clan and although he spends much of his time in the deep waters off the shore of the coastal clan lair, he was readily elected Water Ambassador early in his integration within the clan.

This loner has not taken a mate; like many others in the clan he lays nests on occasion but rarely returns for repeat matings. He is not intentionally aloof or cold, but his introspective nature and preference for deepwater habitats which few can follow him to maintain his separation from his clanmates. Nevertheless, he is well respected for his knowledge and unique appreciation of water dragon needs.
