PERSONALITY

Big, friendly and reliable, it's easy for most dragons to forget that Ambrosia has an engineering degree from Stormspire Apprenticeship Academy at the Tempest Spire. While she doesn't usually take any special part in the work of the electricians she is far from stupid and has a deep love of engineering. Nonetheless, it doesn't bother her when people think her stupid. She's more than content to sit someplace quiet and sew in her free time - when she's not joining Zilliah to Stormchase - and she enjoys listening to the many and varied dragons of the clan.

She's big, friendly, reliable - and it's not surprising that many of the clan find an unexpected peace in her quiet company.

ABOUT

The food of the gods. That's what Ambrosia was named for. She used to wonder what that was - was it food? Was it the very best kind of food? Was it the most delicious things she'd ever eaten, all bundled together and made more and better by some magical means?

As she got older she thought otherwise. The gods existed, of course, she'd heard the Stormcatcher during her apprenticeship, she knows Parabola has heard the Tidelord's voice and of course in the Ashfall Waste is very hard to miss the Flamecaller's presence. But they are...

Well. They're more, aren't they? Made of magic and the pure nature of their element, utter and inescapable. What do they eat? In horror stories, Shade-tainted creatures try to claim that the gods eat those dragons exalted to them, but Ambrosia cannot believe that. Stormcatcher works them hard, as does Flamecaller, but Tidelord and Gladekeeper love their children, and Shadowbinder trusts and trains hers. She cannot believe they'd devour those who go willingly, leaving their old lives behind, to help and support them.

So the question remains. What is ambrosia? What is it that the gods eat? What is it that gives them sustenance.

She sees it on her graduation day, as her Stormclaws are fitted to her, as in the skies above a storm roils to rival the ashcloud-sparked one that had ultimately brought her here. She sees as a lightning bolt snaps out, not heading for the Tempest Spire but down to the dusty sands far below, towards all of them, and she sees as the Stormcatcher's long nose suddenly stretches out, his wing-spikes extended, and he swallows the lightning.

She sees it crackle over his teeth. She sees it illuminate down his throat. She sees the glow of satisfaction in his eyes.

Lightning. That is what feeds her god.

She was born in the lands of the Flamecaller, and she has every intention of returning there. She loves her home as she does few other places - the thing she most loves at the Tempest Spire, aside from her learning and the storms, is how the sands beneath her feet feel like the ones at home.

But while these are the lands of lightning, nothing compares to the storms created as the Furnace's maw erupts and erupts and erupts. Nothing creates the same chaos, the same clanging thunder, the same dangerous lightning...

Nothing is as powerful as the two in conjunction. Ambrosia seeks to bring this power home.

RELATIONSHIPS

20138578p.png Vesuvia | Boss

Head of the Dayguard, Vesuvia is ostensibly the one to whom Ambrosia reports. In truth, Ambrosia reports to Zilliah as much as she does Vesuvia, depending on events. Clan defence is Vesuvia's purview; power plant problems are Zilliah's.

70974865p.png Zilliah | Head Electrician

While Vesuvia is technically Ambrosia's boss, it is generally Zilliah to whom Ambrosia reports. Most attacks are easily fended off, and it's rare for them to happen to the power plant itself. Issues with the power plant on the other hand... those are frequent, and require Zilliah's immediate attention.

62824207p.png Still | Electricity Regulator

Anytime a big storm is coming, it's Still Ambrosia fetches long before Zilliah. While her stormclaws allow her to help dissipate a storm, she doesn't have Still's skill at regulating the output and she's fully aware of the importance of that skill.

61312869p.png Rhen | HELP

Rhen's reliability as support in case of anything going wrong has long ago made him one of Ambrosia's favourite members of the electrical team. Zilliah's the boss, obviously, and Still is essential, just as obviously, but when she yells for assistance it's reliably Rhen who arrives first.
