Lyra is the self-appointed den mother of the clan. She has dedicated herself to the hatching and raising of all clutches that are nested within her clan. She has created a lair adjoining the Nesting Grounds, giving her immediate access in case of emergencies.

Hatchlings love Lyra because of the soft, attentive nature she has. Whether they are hesitant to take their first flight or unsure about their art skills, 		15qddf4.jpg
she is always there with a kind word and a guiding paw.

If you can't catch Lyra in the Nesting Grounds, chances are she can be found on the Flight Field. Once all the clutches have been successfully hatched, she likes to spend her time as the clans flight instructor. Using her grace and agility as a Skydancer, Lyra's turns and twists in the sky are a thing of beauty. She's known all across the frozen tundra for her exotic dances that envoke deep emotions. If she were to be asked where she gets her inspiration, she would blush deeply and most likely cast a shy glance at Heliades, her bonded mate.

Lyra's best friend is a Velvet Floracat named Vega. Vega tends to sleep most of the time, waking during the night to prowl the nests and keep watch. She is the only being besides herself that Lyra trusts unattended with the unhatched eggs. Vega has heard the stories of egg bandits sneaking in under the veil of the night and snatching babies from their parents. She has made it her personal duty to never allow an egg to be stolen from their clan. Hatchlings love the Floracat, just as much as they love the Skydancer matron, because of her plushy fur and soft leaves. Often sicklings can be found nestled in her fur, snoozing softly.
