Fire. Inside & Out.

In the heart of Angakkua territory there is a sod hut built below and beside the nestled breast of two hills. The simple structure is as ageless as its lone, constant occupant. Inside the earthen walls, beneath the ancient frame of whale bones and driftwood, Brenandi waits for no one and watches the world entire. Her hall is empty but for mud floors dusted in ash and she atop a nest of embers the exact shape and size of eggs. There is no furniture, no food, no windows, nothing else to keep her company. Only the dragoness, her warm light and her eggs.

Though few have ever made it to her hut, Brenandi has visited many untold scores of dragons - and beasts - in their own homes, in their camps and in their cookfires. From her hut she peers through the flicker of firelight and whispers inspirations, warnings and omens to those who bend an ear to hear. Stories tell of a dragoness who speaks in a deep, rasping voice. They tell of a dragoness bound to her burrow and unwilling to leave; of eyes that burn red as coal and a countenance so brilliantly hot it burns the cheeks to stand too near.

They say no bitter cold wind can take the breath from her lungs, that no dark night can silence her radiance, and that a fire burning in her name will burn twice as hot and thrice as long.
