TYPHOON • HARUSPEX
Kind • Quiet • Repentant • Typhoon is the haruspex of Clan Petrichor. His original home was one of many lairs taken over by the ever-growing Plague realms. Before coming to Clan Petrichor, he had contracted a non-contagious disease from the Plague territory. In his old clan, other dragons cared for him but even though his disease was not contagious, none of them but Enzym liked to linger in his den. Thankfully, he has Enzym to keep him company, as his old clan had decided to raise Enzym in Typhoon's den so he wouldn't be alone. • Because of his illness, Typhoon can no longer fly. He spends much of his time daydreaming about touching the sky once again. To him, it feels as if the illness is keeping him away from his deity, but his studies and preaching help him to feel connected again. He is very passionate about the Windsinger, and chooses to spread his knowledge to passersby and anyone who will listen to him. Enzym spends nights and days researching possible cures for Typhoon's ills. |

The Story of Typhoon wrote:
Many of the dragons of the lair had already fled. There were no hatchlings playing and tumbling in the nesting area, and no dragons harvesting the gardens. Only the elderly and the stubborn remained and carried out their days as if nothing was wrong and as if the plague wasn't approaching from just over the hill. The acid rains had destroyed the fields and forests. Their only sustenance came from the food in their hoard. On sunny days they could almost forget the festering plague that was creeping toward them.
Day and night the dragons prayed to their deity for protection. Typhoon, the last spiral that remained, was one of them. His belief that his deity would somehow protect their lair was strong till the very end.
It didn't take long before sickness started to spread on the remaining dragons. It took the elderly first and made its way down. Various symptoms presented and one by one the dragons took their last breaths. Some would loose their scales and others would be covered in festering scrapes and festering boils and pustules. Dragon's connected to earth and nature would drag themselves to the ruined forest in an attempt to become a tree after they pass. but the trees they would become were sad and lifeless and never larger than the dragon themselves.
Soon, the younger dragons started showing signs. Typhoon broke out in boils that he wrapped in bandages. He started to grow weaker with every passing day, yet still he prayed and hoped that his deity would hear him. Every night he flew up as high as he could and rode the winds so he could be closer to Windsinger. Every night he flew shorter and shorter distances until he could barely lift off the ground.
Here is where Typhoon lost hope in his deity. It was that point that would haunt him for the rest of his life. He realized Windsinger was not going to save him from the plague. So, he fled. He abandoned his home and half flew to safer grounds. Eventually he couldn't fly, or even walk, anymore and collapsed to the ground to prepare for death. But, another dragon looked down at him and felt pity. She offered him her back and carried him away to her own lair. A lair with the largest collection of books in flight rising. Where he could read about the Windsinger and teach everyone about his deity. Where he could start resowing his connection to Windsinger and hopefully die without the guilt of that moment where he lost sight of his beliefs.
