A rather forgettable dragon, Shani never has much to say. It's not that she has much difficulty with traditional draconic - she was raised among the Outcasts from a newborn and quickly learned how to interpret others' speech - she just doesn't feel that any of her thoughts are worth speaking aloud. This may be in part due to Catarina viscously bullying her when they were younger and the continued verbal abuse she receives from the Spiral to this day. For whatever reason Cat has it in her head that Fabre, one of the other orphans they were raised with, is in love with Shani and Cat wants him all to herself. She doesn't stop to consider that maybe Fabre just isn't interested in her, and Shani bares the brunt of the other female's frustration. Shani tries to not let Cat's words get to her, but it's still difficult sometimes. She hangs out mostly with Kallai and his mate Azira, both of whom are more than happy to indulge Shani in friendly silences.
