Clan Role:
Emotional support giver and being adorable


Matata is a cheerful and active dragon, usually found flitting about the lair and observing the daily commotion. While she still exhibits the communication problems between Fae and other dragon breeds, the clan loves her presence and company, as she does a lot of adorable things by accident. Her curious nature makes her prone to a lot of exploring. She frequently falls into large teapots or vessels by accident, plays with baubles, and tries to help larger dragons with their crafts with often hilarious results. Matata tends to trip over large weaving projects and has trouble trying to use tools bigger than she is, understandably enough. But she persists anyway, just because she likes to try new challenges and wants to have a good time with her clanmates.

Despite her communication gap, she has also found herself as a sort of go-to dragon when other clan members need emotional support. While she doesn’t usually know how to read the clan member’s tones, she’s a very good listener and does have a good intuition surrounding the bare meaning of the member’s words and what it implies.

She will sometimes get pulled aside by someone and just listen to them talk out their frustrations. Matata really doesn’t mind, and it usually helps the burdened clan member to offload their worries in the company of an adorable and patient little Fae. If asked, she will also confidentially seek advice from another member for their problems. Hakuna, her mate, is supportive of her but tries to make sure she’ll be within earshot of other clan members in case her curiosity leads to trouble.
