As with many of the dragons who reside in Spud's eclectic lair, Phalane arrived with one part intent to a generous pawful of happenstance. A lifelong resident of Gladekeeper's realm, he undertook a journey to The Observatory in search of tomes on rare botanic lore to aid in his passionate study and collection of Sornieth's plant life.

Until Spud's clan of fae happened.

While the promised books were never unearthed by his fluttering inveiglers, by then he had rather lost interest in them, as he had discovered Chrysaor's ponds and the haphazard gardens established to keep the excess population of exotic creatures living in the lair occupied and happy. Between the scavenging efforts and hoarding instinct of the fae younglings, Turnip, Pickles, Chrysaor, Ganymede, Eydis and Bidithal through every nook and cranny of the Starfall Isles - and indeed, much of the rest of Sornieth in general - there were enough rare specimens to keep him occupied for years.

At any given point Phalane can invariably be found in one of the many new greenhouses, and often has to be tempted out with a plump sea bass after neglecting to eat for days.
