Poof is one of the main mages in town, but is hard to be sought out. She has elaborate traps and spells set up in her den to prevent people from finding her or even entering unless she wants it. She is extremely unsociable and, despite the younger dragons rumoring that she is rarely around because she is scary and mean, is really just anxious and awkward. She does attend gatherings and rituals, but otherwise is almost always reclusive. She seldom allows visitors aside from Makea her adopted daughter. She has what some would call an obsession with the stars and what they mean, but she would refer to it as a connection. She says bigger forces speak to her through the twinkling night sky. Only Sirius, the clan astronomer, believes she is connected to the stars. She has a small connection with any of the others in the clan who practice magic since she is the most respected wizard of the clan. Panther often seeks out audience with her. She considers herself Poof's apprentice and sees the traps and spells as obstacles and tests to train her. Poof, half not wanting to admit to anyone how afraid of social interaction she is and half not wanting to disappoint Panther, has yet to tell her that her assumptions are untrue. While Poof is inside of her den she is usually labeling herbs and concoctions or jokingly indulging in "magic" tricks.
