Autumn is the founder of Solanaceae Clan. As a hatchling, she was left alone in the Viridian Forest. Miraculously, she survived by hiding in the twisted branches of a belladonna bush until she was big enough to fend for herself and fly up to the canopy. Once she left, she took a branch of the bush with her as a token of her youth, and planted it in an opening in a tree that had been filled with rich dirt due to decomposition of assorted stuff. The bush flourished, and with it, her clan. She now resides in the hollow that her bush grows out of, along with her mate, Evergreen.

An upside to being the founder of the clan is that she gets to be the matriarch as well. While positions of rank are frequently noted by flower crowns, her position as leader is noted by wearing the only daisy crown. When it becomes time for her daughter Marimo to take her place, Marimo will take the crown as well.

Every once in a while, she visits the Auction House to go on what she calls a "save run", in which she brings home dragons before the dominance snipers can get to them. She doesn't have anything against exalting, necessarily- she just doesn't like how dragons are often treated by dominance snipers. She has witnessed firsthand how dragons are referred to as "fodder", and how they are forced into battle as soon as possible. It isn't something she usually shares, but there's a much bigger reason that she dislikes dominance snipers- they stole her hatchlings.

It was a long time ago, back when the clan was still very small. She and Evergreen had had their first nest, and the little ones had finally hatched very early in the morning. The proud new parents paraded their hatchlings around the clan and celebrated. A lot. After a few hours, Autumn put the hatchlings back into their nest in the nursery, closed the door tight to make sure that a passing predator couldn't get in, and returned to the revelries. Everything was perfect.
Many hours later, the rest of the clan had finally decided to sleep, including the new parents. Autumn rushed ahead and smoothly opened the door, excited to see her babies before she went to sleep, with Evergreen meandering a small distance behind. Her screech of despair brought him running, and Evergreen arrived to see a tear in the leaves that made up the walls of the nursery- and his hatchlings gone, with nothing to prove that they had ever existed besides the remains of their egg-plants. Before he could fully process what he had lost, Autumn was diving out of the gap, frantic in her efforts to find her babies. It was too late.
