Biography
Lumira
Ambassador for the Light flight Lumira was born into a nest of uncaring parents. They never paid attention to her for the few days they were around. They left the clan when she was only a few days old. Immediately, the clan's hatchling caretaker took her under her wing. Lumira, however, was not pleased by this in the slightest. She had a lot of resentment towards her clan. She wanted to leave and never look back, but couldn't as she was still a hatchling. She spent her younger days at the back of the lair, huffing and puffing about how all the dragons were stupid and how the clan was stupid and how the whole Light flight was stupid! She had temper tantrums anytime a dragon tried to get her to play or even move. Lumira was very bored (and lonely, but she would never admit that) from just siting in a corner all day. Finally, she came up with a plan. She would sneak into her clan leader's den at night and demand she be released!!! It's an excellent plan for a three day year old hatchling, at least. So, Lumira did just that. When the sun sunk below the horizon, she tippy-toed into Aurum's den and pounced! Aurum, unfazed by Lumira jumping onto her asked what she was doing. "I want to be let go!" Lumira demanded, "I don't want to be here anymore! Light sucks!!" Aurum was shocked. How could a dragon hate Light? Aurum told this young hatchling that tomorrow morning she will show Lumira around the surrounding Flight's territories. She promised that if Lumira liked one more than the Light flight, she can stay there. Lumira was kind of surprised. Her plan worked! She called it a deal and hopped away from Aurum's den into the hatchling's. Next day, Lumira and Aurum set off. First, the Shifting Expense. It was dry, hot, sandy, and filled with static shock. Lumira hated it and lasted only ten minutes before hopping onto Aurum's back the rest of the way. Second, the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Lumira had never learned to swim, but it came naturally to her (she was a Guardian afterall). But quickly her legs tired and swimming became harder and harder. Eventually, she resumed her position onto Aurum's back. Finally, the Tangled Wood. The sun had suddenly seemed to disappear. The Tangled Wood was almost pitch black, only lit by the glowing mushrooms. On their way through the territory, they came across two travelling dragons. Both Nocturnes. The two Nocturnes questioned what they were doing in the Tangled Wood. Aurum told them that they were just passing by, and are currently members of a Light lair. One of the Nocturne sneered. "The Light Flight? Disgusting. Why don't you go back to your beacons, Acolights?" Lumira puffed out her chest and made sure to stand real tall. "The Light flight isn't disgusting! It's great! Aurum is great and so is the rest of the lair, too!" The Nocturnes just laughed. "Sure, whatever." Their snickers could still be heard as they walked off. "C'mon, let's go home." Aurum said, letting the little Guardian once again climb onto her back. From then on, Lumira knew what she wanted to do. Her plan still involved leaving the Sunbeam Ruins, but for a much better cause. Lumira vowed to travel to a different region and find a lair to represent her flight. To tell them of the Sundial Terrace to the Beacon of the Radiant Eye. And, especially, to tell them of Aurum, the Coatl who had shown her the light. |
