Biography

EMERY
Valour's Squire

A very polite and well-mannered dragon, Emery learnt from an early age how to be a very proper little Imperial. He takes himself fairly seriously, and is very eager to please, wanting to make sure that he's helpful in any way he can be. This has led to him being taken advantage of on more than a few occasions, but he's never taken it personally, knowing that he'll find good, fair work some time.

As soon as he was old enough to be considered an adult, Emery left home to look for work, erring from clan to clan doing whatever little assignments people had for him. Sometimes he overstayed his welcome where there just wasn't enough for him to do, other times he felt that feeling of wanderlust, wanting to travel again in search of bigger and better things.

Emery came to the clan without knowing at all what it was that he wanted to do with himself. His first few weeks living in the lair were spent doing odd jobs for people. This ranged from carrying goods from the farm to Dubrovnik's shop, to helping rearrange the library, to polishing boots and armour. It was in this latter role that Valour found him.

The older Imperial found himself very impressed with Emery's manners and can-do attitude, seeing a lot of potential in this odd job dragon. Rather than let the opportunity slip away when he decided that it was time to leave again, Valour offered him work on the spot, serving as his squire. Equally impressed by the knight's demeanor and regal bearing, Emery accepted, seeing an opportunity to better himself and have consistent work.

As Valour's squire, his duties are numerous, from carrying excess gear, to polishing armour and weapons, to carrying messages for his master. Eager to please, Emery does all of these jobs without complaint, seeking to impress the knight however he can.
"I've repaired your armour, sir, good as new. Was there anything else I could do for you?"
