"True strength isn't found in muscles, dear."

Gaia has always been a gentle, kindhearted dragon, much to her mother's chagrin. She's one of the few dragons whom was born in Tali's lair and stayed there ever since. Especially, she's the only child of Velvet who can stand being around her mother.

Gaia had a rough childhood, having Velvet for a mom. Velvet tried her hardest to train her children into assassins, but Gaia didn't want to fight. Most of Velvet's children would move out as soon as possible, but not Gaia. Gaia withstood it. She refused to become an assassin, as she saw a lot of value in life, but to please her mom, she'd endure all the training. Eventually she turned into a strong, buffy dragon who was amazing at self-defence and capable of taking a beating.

She has a great relationship with her dad, Agiel, who has a laid-back, carefree attitude, but he doesn't dare defy Velvet's orders either. Whenever Gaia wasn't forced into training, she'd hang out with her dad. He was all she really had anyways. Her brothers and sisters would just leave, and all the other dragons in the clan were afraid of her, knowing that she was undergoing assassin training.

Eventually she grew into a fine lady who cared for all that lived, and she at last defied her mother entirely, taking her own rightful place in life. She refused to train as an assassin any longer, and devoted herself to being a kindhearted dragon. She tries to reach out to her mother, hoping that one day, Velvet will see the error in her ways, but so far nothing's changed.

Around the lair, Gaia is a bit of a motherly figure who looks after everything and everyone. She's a gatherer who'll run errands for whoever asks, or who will listen when someone needs to vent off their anger.

One day a young dragon male about Gaia's age joined the clan, Azazel. This stubborn male claiming he came to take over the world, didn't quite learn his place in life yet. He tried to challenge everything and everyone, Gaia included. Gaia had no interest in fighting, and was concerned about Azazel as she recognized some traits similar to her mother in him. She thought to herself that he was probably the son that Velvet had always wanted. Gaia tried her hardest to reach out to him and slowly teach him the ways of kindness, which were more effective than they were with her mom. Azazel eventually accepted her, and thet wo fell in love.

She's named after Gaia, the goddess of nature who symbolizes the earth. It is sad that this earth was created out of chaos at the beginning of time. I chose this name because I found it befitting for a motherly sort of character, and since Snappers are "earth"bound.
