______ The parentage of this Guardian is unknown. She was found in the burned out remains of a small clan that had been destroyed by Beastclans during the celebration of nocturnes. The small Hatchling had been found trapped under the scorched remains of a collapsed cart by a travelling Guardian. A warrior of the Lightweaver sworn to carry the Light into the Darkness, found her as he pursued the offending Beast clan force and adopted her as his own. The newly named Aedalind was raised as a child of the light and bears the heavy burden of being an entirely trustworthy shadow dragon. With her heavy armor and sword she vows to protect all those who cannot protect themselves. She has taken as her Charge all of dragonkind and strives to defend civilization itself against the threat of wild beasts and the beastclans. With her gleaming blade Aedalind stands ready to defend the Lair from any threat. She has taken a vow of poverty, taking only what she needs to survive as repayment for her services and not keeping a hoard of her own. Her most prized possessions are the armor and sword bestowed on her by her 'father' before he was Exalted to serve the Lightweaver directly. The brass ring she wears is the only remaining part of his hoard and her most treasured item.

______ Aedalind's goal in life is to behave in a manner that would make her father proud of her. She admires the older Guardian to the point of hero worship. Her deepest fear is that if she doesn't live up to his legacy she has wasted the effort he had taken to rescue her. With her Charge being so widespread she often worries excessively about the safety of others and many dragons find her care patronizing. The Light Flight style teachings often conflict with her natural Shadow tendencies of which she is ashamed, meaning she has trouble bringing out her full potential in battle. Because her sense of self-worth is low she often sacrifices herself when she doesn't need to, her hide bearing a variety of scars from where she has protected others with her body rather than trust them to dodge a blow. Her familiar is one that guards the sacred knowledge of her order, a Sunbeam Soldier named Lux.
