Ania was the second offspring of her parents and formed a strong bond with her mother. Ania chose to move with her mother, from the Earth clan of her birth to The Tangled Wood, where she raised her own family. Her first mate was a Wildclaw, and they had a nest of three strong Snappers together. (One now lives in the Sunbeam Ruins.) She then mated with a mysterious unnamed Spiral. Ania and the nameless spiral went on to have four nests (9 offspring) together. However, the spiral joined the ranks of the Shadowbinder before sharing his name - something dangerous from his past prevented him from revealing that information. Their third offspring (from their first nest) idolized her father and also remained unnamed before her journey to the Gladekeeper so she could be more like him. One of their offspring, Lasia, remains active in a clan in the Starfall Isles.

Ania loves being a mother and tending to nests, so she soon found another mate - a strong, proud Skydancer. They had three nests (11 offspring) together before he decided he wanted to serve the Shadowbinder.

Eventually her mother decided to journey away from their longtime home and seek a new place to live. As she had no longer had any ties to their Shadow clan, Ania joined her mother on this migration - they'd been through many ups and downs and wanted to remain together. Eventually, on 1/27/15, they both ended up in an Ice clan that welcomes Elder dragons. But, both knew that it was only a temporary respite as they searched for a new permanent home for both of them.

After spending a few months in Clan Diamond Dust, Thistle and Ania were asked to appear before the clan leaders. A representative from an Earth clan had been in touch with the clan - as it turned out, Thistle's first mate (and Ania's father) Medeis had never forgotten them. When he found out they were looking for a new home, he invited Thistle and Ania to join his Earth clan. Her sister, Morrou, also resided there, and Ania was thrilled that she'd be able to live with her father and sister again, although she would miss her Ice clan mates. On 6/6/15, Ania packed her belongings and joined her mother on the journey back to Dragonhome.
