Biography
HANASAMA
Detective's Assistant |
|
B I O G R A P H Y
All was well for a few years between them, and when Shylock took up the detective business Hanasama was right there beside him, accepting a role as his partner even though he'd never had an interest in such things before. Trouble came in the form of a tiny pink fae, a gorgeous creature looking like the flowers Hana struggled to grow in many a failed garden with eyes that shone in pale gold. Hana fell head-over-heels for the fae Amora, and after taking her as his mate doted upon her like she was the sun itself. Shylock didn't appreciate this intruder changing up his happy status quo, and for a while it seemed Hana would have to choose between his best friend and his mate. When Shylock gained a romantic interest of his own, this seemed to die down a bit, and eventually Shylock accepted Amora as part of their odd little family. As a drake who had always looked forward to starting a family, he was delighted when a daughter of his settled down with a son of Shylock's, resulting in a single grandchild for the both of them and finally joining their bloodlines. His joy was short-lived, for after the egg was laid and the child within confirmed to be healthy, his daughter Sapichu left the clan suddenly to pursue her own interests. He hasn't heard from her since. While he dotes on his grandson Lasair, his daughter's betrayal still stings. Were she to show up again, his anger might overpower the pain he felt, and should that happen he's not sure what he'd do. He can't even remember the good times with her due to the overshadowing pain of what she did not just to him, but to the rest of the family and his best friend's family. It's best, he believes, for her never to return. |
P E R S O N A L I T Y
Though he has a better leash on his temper than Shylock, when he loses it he can get pretty nasty. Shouting, flaming, and just being very unpleasant to be near in general is not uncommon. While not strict he can be harsh with his punishments as a parent, balancing out Amora's softness somewhat. He worries that he was too harsh, however, when raising up Sapichu. His fury with her is compounded with fury at himself, in the likelihood that he may have crossed the line from fair to cruel and planted the bitter seed that drove her away in the end. Hana tends to be a voice of reason, especially where his friends are concerned. He's very in tune with his emotions and very honest and open about them, never hiding what he feels inside. While wearing your heart on your sleeve is risky since it tends to leave it vulnerable, Hana has faced many awful, horrible things in his life and still remains strong. Perhaps this is thanks to the web of support he's weaved himself through the years through his friends and family, or perhaps he's just that mentally strong. Whatever the reason, Hana is a reliable shoulder to cry on for all those with heavy hearts. |
