Biography
Warden
Nightwatch Silent | Melancholy | Gentle "Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust Flesh to Bone, Steel to Rust." A reading of her Bio, By Dess A mute dragoness who suffers from the after effects of a disease, Warden is a very introverted and shy dragon despite her intimidating looks. As a dragonet, she caught a deadly disease that turned her fur into a sickly mottled color, and consequentially was the reason her former clan left her for dead. Plague dragons either survive, or die. Fortunately for this one, Willow had been flying back from her visit with a neighboring clan, and noticed the ball of white and black against the twisted environment. So was the start of Warden's life in Sleepy Magics. Warden's first few weeks were spent under heavy medical treatment and close watch from the many healers, making sure that the little dragon didn't succumb to her illness. It wasn't long though until Warden slowly started her recovery. She had encountered one problem though. Along with mottling her fur, the disease had destroyed her vocal chords. Warden, was a painfully made Mute. She was too young to find the phenomenon strange, and never thought much of it. She wouldn't have had much to say to anyone else either way. Warden ended up being the dragon that stayed in the far shadows of the room, simply observing others and never interacting. It came to an understanding of body language while speaking to warden, to know what she thought of something. This way of life suited her just fine, and became habit. Of course, she did have favorites to watch. Warden loved sneaking up to view sparring sessions with Verilyn and any warrior trainees that came into the clan seeking his strength. Soon did the shadow and flame warrior notice red eyes constantly glowing in the shadows. One day, by fate, he would ask if Warden wanted to come out and join in training. "Would you like to become one of the Nightguard?" Warden vividly remembers Verilyn asking her that in his growling rough voice. A Nightguard, one of the few dragons trusted to patrol the innermost of the tangled woods and keep watch over the silence after the pass of twilight. Warden never knew Verilyn's reasoning for even offering such an important undertaking to her. Nor, did she know why she accepted. Long grueling training was ahead of the young plagueling, but she didn't mind. The rush of excitement that flowed through her while sparring or exploring was well worth the many nights spent lying sore in her small nest. It wasn't long until Warden became the most prestigious trainee, excelling in the stealth fighting she was trained to do. Warden would become the newest Nightwatch of Sleepy Magics, This event could, and did attract the attention of others in the clan. All of whom had previously overwritten or even forgotten that such a dragon was living in their home. After her armor was bestowed on the young tundra, did she finally attract the attention of someone who'd become special to her in the future. An excitable and starry eyed mirror called Tiburtis who was one of the few children of a friendly clan had moved over, learning how to tinker with Tetai and Polemios. Warden at first couldn't understand his constant questioning and friendly.... friendliness? She thought it was charming, at least. Warden soon found herself with a friend, even two, as Tiburtis and Tetai were like brothers now. Tiburtis had something else to show her besides companionship though. His time in light had taught him a way of speaking called 'sign language'! Warden was finally able to communicate with the rest of her clan. Well, at least those that took the time to learn and understand how to read the many unique paw movements that Warden 'spoke' with. Recently, an adorably happy little spiral by the name of Yule has begun sitting atop of Warden's head and translating for her when others did nor understand. |
