Vashni was moreso banned, or outlawed out of her old clan for obvious reasons. She gives off an eerie vibe, and is fascinated with the dead. She's a sort of Necromancer you see, and such things are generally frowned upon in other clans. But Vashni was accepted into the Mavericks nonetheless. They may find her a bit creepy at times, but they still treat her hobbies and interests politely and no different from the rest.
Vashni can easily be located by the strong smell of formaldehyde or spices used in burials. She tends to the dead and their burial grounds; being the one to lay deceased members of the Mavericks (or any found body of a dragon) to rest. Vashni often tries to find the cause of one's death to make sure no other dragons are harmed. Her talents, though strange, are very helpful. On various occasions Vashni has concluded that dragons have died from bad water, or a disease spreading among their prey. Her warnings are not taken lightly, and have proved to save many of the Mavericks' lives.
She's very respectful of the dead and spirits, reciting peaceful prayers for the deceased and their families as she prepares them for burial. Vashni has yet to attempt to raise someone from the dead, and doesn't plan on doing so. She believes an act like that will disturb their spirit, which is something she doesn't want to do. She would much rather let them rest peacefully. Vashni is known to have helped in curing illnesses though, and in some way prolonged another's life through her odd rituals.
