The friendliest dragon in the clan, also the clan leader's mate. Although considered the clan mother because she raises the eggs found outside of the clan, Liora is the only one she calls daughter.

All clans must start somewhere, but Zerius never would have imagined following Cera on her quest to reach the Southern Icefield would lead to them forming a clan of their own. They are the roots of the clan.

During their travels across Sornieth, Zerius and Cera met five dragons who were crucial to their success in reaching the Southern Icefield: Arboronem, Koitaras, Bellios, Emiliandris, and Vellen. At some point during the journey each one realized the bonds they'd formed were far stronger than anything they had with the clan members they'd previously been with. When the Southern Icefield could be seen on the horizon, the five began brainstorming clan names in order to propose starting a clan to Zerius, whom they decided should be the leader. Despite Arboronem's protests, the name Arboreus was proposed in honor of the first official member of the clan as well as their homeland that they keenly missed. Zerius eventually relented to their request after Cera joined the five in nagging him. The five form the trunk of the clan.

They returned to the Viridian Labyrinth and began searching for a place to settle down. During that time many dragons came upon the clan. Some passed though on their way to the Glademother or another destination, but some decided to stay. A few who stayed started families and thus began the branches of Arboreus.
