Although affectionately called 'Tyrant' by his mate, Nolan, Messen is anything but. A wild child in his younger years, he has since happily settled into the role of Clan Leader and brood mother despite his gender.
Although he has a soft spot for any hatchling born to any of the clan's members, he holds considerable favor for Briar and Kinley, both of whom he's particularly fond of.
Messen very rarely shows affection to anyone outside of the Clan and is known mostly to smirk, never really giving a true smile to any. He holds Nolan in incredibly high regards despite knowing his views on the world are far more black and white as opposed to his own viewing of many, many shades in between.
These opposing views do tend to make them fight a lot. It isn't surprising to any of the Clan when their two leaders break out into a physical tussle and later retreat together to lick their wounds.
Founded the Parks clan with Nolan not out of necessity, but circumstance. While he cares in some way for every member (though is a bit indifferent to some) it was just sort of happenstance.
He often looks after the new hatchling's. Has a terrible soft spot for the young ones but once they get to a certain age, he usually passes them off to the "Governess", Hiwalani for training, tutoring and eventually, seeing them off.
