Mother,

I hear you've taken residence in the Viridian Labyrinth! I hope this letter finds you well, and that you'll appreciate the gift I've enclosed. My mate, Shula, is a blacksmith and provided indispensible assistance to me with the finishing of it.

I am well. I've found a good clan that appreciates a hard-working tradesdragon. We have a few misadventures, but for the most part it's as quiet as you may expect Dragonhome to be. Other clans are few and far between, but we have a steady stream of visitors and younglings coming and going that it doesn't seem as lonely living it as it may hearing about it.

You may have heard that Kaiera and little Maethe have come for the adventurous life the Oakrest Clan has to offer. I have not chosen this adventurous life, and while we do not see each other often, they both seem in good spirits.

I was hoping, perhaps, you may enjoy some of the pigments I've enclosed. Perhaps they will inspire you as they have me.

I hope that you are well, Mother, and that you are not overly worried about my safety here in Dragonhome. I miss you and the rest of the family, but I also want to let you know that I am quite satisfied with the hand life has dealt me. So, please, do not worry.
