Warden Altheare Lavellan I

The tale surrounding the Grey Warden we speak of now is a most difficult one. Altheare hailed from the Mahariel family, his father, Elemhiel, was the former Keeper of the Sabrae clan prior to Marethari. His father fell in love with Alenre from another clan in somewhat controversial circumstances, however it is not known if that happened before he became the clan's Keeper or not. The pair's joy was short-lived. Before their young baby was born the two of them were ambushed and attacked by a group of humans and city elves. The Keeper was killed outright and his spouse was wounded. They lived long enough to give birth to the Dalish Elf and soon after disappeared in grief.

From then on Ashalle took over the care of Mahariel, as their guardian. Altheare himself knows little of his family besides what Ashalle has shown him. He remembers the day when he had gotten his vallaslin in tribute to Ghilan'nain- the halla mother. Later on a patrol, and on the discovery of an ancient Elvhenan ruin; His friend, Tamlen, had fell to the blight's corruption and he was later forced to kill him. After that he had no choice but to head up to Ostagar, deemed to be recruited by the Grey Wardens- doomed elsewise to die from the taint of the Corrupted Eluvian. After the battle and Failure of Ostagar, along with the death of King Cailan- the Grey Wardens were blamed by Loghain Mac Tir- a veteran of the Imperial Fereldan Army.

Soon after the fall of Ostagar, Lothering soon followed, and so did much of the Fereldan Empire. Altheare and his group of ragtags did their best to combat the blight, and eventually go after the dreaded Archdemon. The night before, Morrigan had proposed a Dark Ritual that would save the Warden, but render the child that was conceived to have the soul of a Old God. The battle happened, the Archdemon was bested and slain- and yet the Warden still survived. Morrigan had disappeared, only to be later discovered in ranks of Orlais- unbeknownst to Altheare. Altheare was now the Warden-Commander of the Grey Wardens, the Arl of Amaranthine and a very very busy man.

After many trials and tribulations, Altheare, now in his late thirties, had found himself in the presence of yet another elf in power, the Inquisitor.
