Avizandum came from a very large family of Imperials. They lived for many years, working in secret serving the plaguebringer, studying for the necromantic trials. Finally they had all passed Her trial, and with heavy hearts and an awareness that they may never meet again, they split. Each sibling traveling to a different corner of Sornieth. Their goals are mysterious, and his fascination with Luminax disturbs any dragon who has heard of him.

Avizandum picked this colony due to its strange, blasphemous beliefs. He has indicated on multiple occasions that the other necromancers here are in danger of losing their minds if they keep serving the gladekeeper. Necromancers bearing masks see themselves as instruments of the Plaguebringer and the hand that enacts her will. They are counselors to their clans, ensuring that every important decision is in accordance with Plaguebringer's desires.
