B I O G R A P H Y


______ When Gavilon hatched, he was alone, bereft of any sign of life except for the vast reaches of cold ice he was born upon. A blizzard raged on, and his eyes were clouded with surges of pearly snow. But a shape moved through the storm - an old, forever child barren Guardian named Ouia towered over the small hatchling, immediately pitying him, and took him under her wing. As Gavilon grew, Ouia adopted him as her Charge, adoring the little Coatl as if he was her own. The two explored an old Shadow battlefield, as Ouia lovingly told him stories of her past, exaggerating her tactics and telling him of when he was a swift and witty warrior. But as Gavilon explored through the battlefield - his caretaker giving a watchful eye - an Imperial dragon seemed to crawl out of the ground, as if it was a member of the reanimated undead. But as its full body surfaced, four heads jutted out of the ground, each bawling as if it was in deep pain. Ouia rose from her spot, immediately barreling towards the Emperor Imperial, her large fangs bared to protect her Charge. But the battle ended with two dead, instead of only one.
And again, Gavilon was alone.

______ For years Gavilon spent his time in the Tangled Wood, learning from the Shadow Flight’s trickster tendencies, and became a pickpocket. He survived on stealing, and further into thievery, he became near obsessed with it, absconding with jewelry and bags full of treasure, even if he had enough to get him by. So when he heard a tip off a pair of Nocturnes discussing hordes of treasure dragons try to hide, Gavilon couldn’t help but search for it. Within a few hours he had found the pile. That is, only to find it was a trap. A gang of bandits were waiting for weaker thieves like him. Yet, suddenly, a Coatl and a band of other dragons ran into the cave. The Coatl rushed over to Gavilon, ready to protect him, and he introduced herself as Styx, and her partner as Sparrow.
Sparrow and Styx led Gavilon back to their clan camp, where Gavilon began to continue to be reckless and bitter. Yet, he still can’t help but remember his old caretaker, even after her soul had ascended to the Icewarden ages ago. One day, to calm his nerves, he re-visited the battlefield where Ouia passed away. Something began to seep out of the ground yet again, but to Gavilon’s luck, it was a familiar that moved like sludge, its murky arms moving through piles of decrepit armor towards Gavilon. It was an Insubstantial Illusionist - and it followed him, circling him like his troubles. But Gavilon felt serene, in a way, the way his familiar moved made him feel calm. As Gavilon headed home, he realized that maybe it is possible to live an untroubled life - but only if he began a better life with this new clan.
