Her egg was frozen over before she hatched and as a result she ended up with a crackle-like permafrost covering her. Due to this, her parents' clan thought she was cursed and sent her off. Spinner later found her and brought her into his lair and looked after her.
She often slipped as a hatchling due to the ice on her body but later was given her gloves and spats to prevent that. she doesn't mind the fact she's covered in ice, it keeps her cool especially during warmer days. The only downside is that she often finds a hatchling clinging to her when it's really hot.
Glint is a silent Fae who keeps to herself and only speaks when spoken to, although she somehow sounds even more monotone than a regular Fae

It was around the Crystalline Gala when she started to develop her icy powers. Because it had been so many years since a dragon so in tune with their element was last seen, nobody knew what heralded the arrival of the ice Flightemental
