Why is he here? Why do the others tolerate him? The only explanation anyone ever has is that he was here first.

No one wants to ask him directly--he has a knack for mimicking voices and it creeps his clanmates out.

According to Alaunus, he does somehow always seem to find the tastiest mushrooms.

-Born in wind, blown to Plague by a gale from the Crescendo
-Separated from his kin, he wandered the plaguelands as a young child
-Was saved from certain death by a troop of vagabonds who took him in. They gave him his new name, Mishka.
-Time exposed to the elements in Plague territory left his skin discolored and made fungal colonies grow from between his scales
-Grew up in the troop of wanderers, scavenging or stealing his bread, building camaraderie
-Over time, he discovered his own skill not with healing ailments but with providing symptomatic relief
-Was eventually tasked with quarantining sick members of the group and from there took it upon himself to tend to the dead--embalming, burial, etc. However, this took a grim turn in that he also needed to decide whether carrion was good to eat in times of scarcity. This carrion sometimes ncluded members of their own group after battles or an onset of disease.
-Eventually, Wind called back to him and his troop saw him off to the edges of the plaguelands, where he returned to his homeland as an adult, but a changed one. He searched desperately for his family, but no one recognized him.
-Defeated, he resigned himself to live a solitary life wasting away on the Plateau. Sirona, then just a young adult herself, came across him. The two formed a quiet but comfortable friendship. When time came to settle and form a clan, Sirona invited him, and after some hesitation he accepted. Sirona will fiercely defend his right to be here to the present day.
-Most of the clan knows him by a name Sirona gave him--Alletio. However, Sirona herself still calls him Mishka sometimes.
-In Tungrorum, he helps tend to the final rites for the dead and oversees burial proceedings
