The Mother Guardian and Clan Queen

Mirathorn is the founder and high guardian of the clan. She is a ruthless warrior and fiercely protective of her wards. Her consort is the Feral King Rathnor, who rarely stays with the clan and is wild and unpredictable. She has hatched many eggs with him, though she must chase him away after they have hatched or he will try to eat the hatchlings. While not warm of personality, she will come to the defense of even the newest and weakest members of the clan. She alone performs the sacrifice of exaltation ritual to all dragons that request and consent to it, and will not relinquish the duty to even her most senior members.

Her background is a mystery. She recalls always being alone, probably hatched from a lost egg. It is known that Rathnor was her hunting partner from youth, which possibly explains her unwavering loyalty and friendship with him despite his feral nature. While she herself does not seem feral, and is capable of rational and intelligent thought, she seems to have a wild nature which she does her best to keep in check. On the battlefield, however, an onlooker might mistake her for feral herself.

She does not have close friendships, but has strong partnerships with several dragons, including her appointed commanders. It was recently discovered that she has a strong fondness for cats, and allows them to roam freely in the lair and forbids any dragon from trying to eat them.

_{Mage Commander: Sirea's magic is second to none, and Mirathorn has long trusted her as a teacher and leader of the clan's mages.}

_{Knight Commander: Zhanethyn was an early follower of Mirathorn, and trusting her loyalty, Mirathorn bestowed upon her the position of Knight Commander, leader of the order of warriors.}

_{Diplomatic Commander: Hadrian wisdom has served as valuable council to Mirathorn, such that she name him the official leader of her her diplomats. She frequently sends him on missions around Sornieth to gather information, see to trade and peaceful conflict resolutions, as well as recruit new dragons to the clan.}

_{Left Hand to the Queen: Dhaedry acts as her personal bodyguard and private confidant. Officially, Dhaedry falls under the order of Knights, but doesn't seem to be under the authority of Zhanethyn. The clan suspects Dhaedry has more duties than Mirathorn has revealed.}
