An enormous fortress built into the side of a mountain overlooking the Reclaimer's Glacier, Blizzard Castle's main function is to generate an endless snowstorm across the glacier using its snowflake-shaped windmills. By overwhelming the path to the deepest end of the Southern Icefields with peril, outsiders are deterred and the dark secrets of the Icewarden remain secure. Blizzard Castle is the furthest south a dragon can safely go.

Though the fortress exists to create danger, it harbours a bustling and friendly civilization within its walls. The interior gouges into the mountain and descends into the earth. Travellers and immigrants are accepted with open wings and are encouraged to contribute to the clan with coin and work, as the locals will do the same for them.

Blizzard Castle thrives on its own thanks to the collaborative effort of multiple elements. A dragon's birth is considered irrelevant to their character- even one born under the wing of the Flamecaller herself will find family and home within the castle's icy walls. All residents are as Ice as Ice can be. Their elemental alignments are important and celebrated tools. If the castle was maintained by only Ice dragons, it would have been abandoned ages ago.

In the deeper levels, resilient crops are grown with the help of Nature, Light, Water, and Plague dragons working together. Masons and architects of the Earth element expand the chambers deeper into the mountain with ease. Arcane and Lightning dragons collaborate to create many of the mechanisms the residents use every day, and work hard alongside Ice dragons to maintain and improve the blizzard generators. Water dragons have tamed the subterranean reservoirs to supply the fortress with fresh water.
