Biography

*The hatchling ran. Her breath catching in her throat, her lungs felt as they were going to burst. In fact, it could hardly be called running. It was more of a blind stumble, with only one idea. She needed to keep moving. Whatever it was that she had found back at her clan, needed escaping from. Her ragged breaths felt as though they were going to tear her chest apart. Blindly, she stumbled, and fell over a ledge, her leg twisting painfully, unnaturally. Fear drove her to continue dragging herself, dragging her now crippled leg, onward, when all of a sudden, a dark shadow appeared in front of her. It was huge, with piercing red eyes. And she though that she detected... was it fluffy? Exhausted, bewildered, and in pain, everything overtook her, and she collapsed in front of the shadow.

She awoke to a gentle soothing hum, feeling a dull throb in her leg as she opened her eyes groggily, her vision blurred and fuzzy. "Well then, it looks like the sleeper has awakened!", She would hear a this deep rumbling voice as she looked up, spying a vaguely familiar shadowy form above her. Only this time it was not ominous and imposing as she had seen it last. She did however, flinch instinctively, trying t back away as the hazy memories of the night before flooded her mind.
"There there little one... You've had quiet a tumble!", The voice was attached to a hulking black and grey dragon, its red eyes fearsome- 'No... Not fearsome... Warm, comforting?', she thought, as he smiled happily down at her.
"Where... Where am I?" she asked, her voice tiny but hoarse and ragged.
"You're safe... Here drink this...", the gentle sunlight streaming in from the mouth of the large glistening cavern was warm and inviting. It bathed them both in a golden hue, dust motes playing in the air as they wafted around his furry form. He moved a cracked, clay bowl full of water and herbs towards her.
"There'll be plenty of time to talk later, little one, for now you must rest... If you need anything, just call out the name Volos, and I will return"
Volos returned to his work on her leg, a ragged bandage covering it, a cold heat emanating from it as whatever salve he applied worked its magic.
She drank thankfully and fell back into her healing slumber...
