Although he goes to great lengths to appear intimidating in his polished armor, Dusk is at heart a strategist. He prefers to use his brains to brawn, which admittedly is lacking compared to the massive Guardians and Imperials he fights beside. It was Dusk's clever schemes that led to the defeat of the Emperor dragon which originally inhabited the nearby territory.

Dusk is originally an earth dragon, which can be seen in much of the architecture of the clan's lair. Over the years Dusk has recruited most of his larger denmates to help him move boulders and walls of rock to fortify their living space.

Dusk is devoted to his mate, Eclipse. Although he may seem detached, he cares deeply for her and all of their hatchlings, and his children tend to stay close by. Dusk often visits his two sisters in Dragonhome, and his nephew Mateo followed him back to the Carrion Canyon and joined the clan.

Now Dusk works as the strategist for the Elderwatch, and advises the Band of Councilors on fighting off any encroaching dangers. The scouts, of which his mate Eclipse is the lead, report to him. Outside of the Band of Councilors, Dusk is among those with the most responsibility in the clan.
