Born in the eternal night of the Hewn City, Isra comes from a somber heritage. The Bone Court undertakers view their duties with the utmost gravity and sincerity, and are respected for it. Daughter of the Bone King and his Seer, Isra possesses powers she should not have. She can draw spirits to her, like a beacon to their world.

Isra was born during an auspicious time in the world. The changing of the seasons holds meaning for the Bone Court, a time of preparing for winter, preparing for death so that the world may live again in spring. She was taught the necessity of death, making room and providing a future so that new life can come and take its place.

Not just the changing of the seasons heralded Isra's birth, but she hatched on the very Day of Spirits itself. The link between the realm of the dead and the living is strongest on this day, and it has bestowed Isra with a raw power.

This Court child was sent to a clan of murderers and paid assassins for a small fee, as a way to make sure that their killings would not corrupt into something troublesome. Her stay almost was not worthy of mention, but did have two children in that lightning filled land - One is now a proud warrior, fighting for Stormcatcher, another is now holding his mother's position. It is speculated that this was a way for Isra to return back to the Court by having her position filled by her children. The reason why she did want to return is unknown, the same way no one understands why she picked a skinless warrior to mate with.

Isra's return at her native clan was as short-lived as her stay in the Shifting Expanse. Not long thereafter, she was once again sent away for a small fee, and promptly migrated to he Starfall Isles. She quickly found herself at home with the cheery lot of the Stardust Terrace, yet could also perceive the numerous lost souls that wandered the lair. Proving the extent of her skills, she was chosen to take place as one of the clan's diplomats, using her synchronization with the dead to solve conflict. A strongly valued member of the Terrace, Isra prefers to keep to herself.
