Stymie is an herbalist, scavenger, collector, tinkerer, and general jack-of-all trades. If a job needs doing, he can be counted upon to complete it to the best of his abilities. He's the steady, stable, dependable type of dragon, the kind that would be an asset to any clan. Of all the Chaos Star dragons, Stymie is the most well-versed in the ways of the Nature Flight, as he spent a great deal of time in his youth in the Shrieking Wilds. There, he learned most of what he knows about herbs and plants, and he is interested in making a catalogue of the flora and fauna of the Wasteland.

At heart, Stymie is unusually calm and easy-going for a Plague dragon. He's also one of the more scholarly-inclined of the Chaos Star clan, and he's one of the primary connections to the small Sunforger clan of Light dragons, with whom he gets along quite well. Besides herbs and natural history, one of Stymie's favorite pastimes is tinkering with machinery. He hopes some day to make a pilgrimage to the Shifting Expanse to learn about Lightning's engineering techniques.

But, his outward nature notwithstanding, Stymie worships the Plaguebringer with true fervor. He wholeheartedly believes in her principle that the strongest alone will survive – but unlike some Plague dragons, Stymie understands that there are many kinds of strength beyond physical might. He is deeply devoted to his pair bond, Vex, and she returns the favor.
