Beatrice had always been a faithful dragon. While her kin, Solstice, found solace in telling the future and dealing out wisdom, Beatrice had found her inner peace under the warm light of the sun. She used her inner serenity to help guide the clan, becoming their Priestess at a rather young age. Sure, she wasn't a fortune teller, or a healer, nor the most beautiful dragon, but Beatrice knew where she stood among those in her clan, and knew that it was her job to help guide them down the path of righteousness.
Beatrice's familiar, the Longneck Mender might have been more suited to stand beside Amity the clan healer, but just like the dragon she chose to accompany, the familiar had always had a knack for traveling down the road less traveled. Together, they worked together to keep the clan happy (and healthy- making sure that no one bothered Amity too much) and down the right road.
