Storms as big as the sea. Lightning rods as tall as the pillar. Webs of wire and electricity so vast they looks like an oceans of lightning. This has to be the most amazing place ever. And I get to be part of it. I get to make things and watch how they work. I can think of whatever I want and try to create it. I've never felt like I've had so many possibilities, and so much freedom. I only hope I don't waste it.
"When I first started manipulating electrons, it was easy. You pull a little, you push a little, and it snaps back.
Crackle, flash, spark, whatever you want to call it.
A brilliant little rubber band of sorts, and a lot of fun to play with. But I wanted to do more than play.
To pull more, charge something, direct it where needed. I couldn't just let it snap wherever for that.
So I watched. It's so fast, so instantaneous, it's hard to tell, but every lightning bolt isn't just one thing, but two.
For that brilliant split second of a spark to work just right, you have to know where it comes from, and where it's going.
In that flash, I realized I can be, I HAD to be, both.
The positive charge and the negative.
The flood of energy and the emptiness it rushes too.
The calm AND the storm."
