Biography
Plague Representative | Grouch
The unnecessary amount of spikes
isn't really needed in battle, rather
it's a matter of style.
Dedicated Plague Flight dragons are hardly ever welcome at Steel Crest Cove. Many are feral or diseased, not allowed anywhere near things such as Rio's garden or small Fae dragons that could be easily snapped down. Even the most polite dragons have trouble talking to them, until Asala met Vitiligo. While on a trip through the lands of Plague, she learned he was an experienced battering ram, a knowledgeable adult dragon, and his only aesthetic flaw was that his scales and skin were progressively losing their pigment as he aged. He was perfect for her cause, and he was surprisingly eager to leave the mismatched clan of dragons and live in her paradise home as her representative and courier of the Plague Flight.
Vitiligo has always been absolutely devoted to his duties as a representative and tank for the clan, otherwise hardly showing an ounce of personality, a bit of a grouch. Most dragons try to stay on his good side, but those that try to chat with him end up disappointed or offended, as he hates talking personally with anyone. Despite all his social flaws, he is clearly a hardworking member of the clan and was to be respected regardless of his general demeanor. Some dragons are just like that, after all, but one day the unexpected happened. On a normal social trip with clan leaders, Vitiligo was introduced to the healers of Clan Heartgleam. Remarkably, he fell in love.
A large, beautiful Ridgeback dame caught his attention at the event, and he strayed from his clan's group to introduce himself to her. He tried a feeble attempt to strike conversation, but was greeted with a coarse glance and dismissive tail flick. But that only made him head over heels for her. Vitiligo was determined to win the affections of Rosered and began to send letters to her that she, to his delight, replied to. The two flirted and loved for the longest time, until he finally made a proposal to meet with her and nest in a place far from their homes. With a crimson fillet gift atop her crest symbolizing her as his queen, she graciously accepted to join him.
Vitiligo and Rosered nested far out into lands of Fire, choosing there to bring their passions together. The unlikely pair of Nature and Plague was a sight to see, and alas, three eggs came to be their first children. One of them, a girl they named Flintlock, stayed with Vitiligo on his journey back to Steel Crest when their time away from home was over. His clan only knew small tidbits of his long distance relationship, and were thrilled to bits when he returned. It was good to see him have so much happiness, taking solace in knowing he was being taken care of.
Thank you to Milkypath, the owner of Vitiligo's parents for donating his Peregrine wings!
