Eric is a silent and self-absorbed fellow most of the time. He is an inventor at hearth and always has something he fiddles with, something he has to fix or improve. As good as he is with machines as bad he is with other dragons around him. He is nervous and starts to stutter most of the time when he has to just casually talk to any other dragon. The only exception really is when he talks about the things he works on, has worked on or plans to work on.
If you actually manage to get a casual conversation going with him it may very well happen that he just suddenly dashes off and starts to work on another new idea he had. Those random sparks of inspiration can hit him at any time and he just feels forced to follow it as soon as he can.
At times he keeps to himself for days at a time just to tend to his projects and builds. Of course it happens that his projects backfire or that he fails miserably but that just makes him all the more obsessed with it. A failure just keeps him interested all the more and no one can distract him from it any longer.
When he met Veiled the first time he had nearly chased him away again, but when he gifted a small trinket to Feathers and she started to adore him for what he could do. She loves to ask him about every thing he builds and he took a liking to the way she keeps being interested.
