Arveniata was found as an egg by the seer Omikane, and was quite unusual growing up. She had an obsession with bones and would collect the bones from meals and keep then in her lair, always digging out a new area whenever she needed more room. She wasn't always a ridgeback, either, and her instincts still feel strange to her.

As the largest dragon in the clan at the time, her strength was invaluable to the others when it came to repairing the temple. Of course, she kept snatching up the shinier bits of rock, which frustrated Excidius.

She became known as the Plaguedrinker for a couple reasons. First, she was the one to tend to the Plaguebringer's shrine, leaving many of the bones she found there and occasionally flying to the Scarred Wasteland to bring some native plants to grow at the feet of the statue of the deity. Second, she was always trying to sell 'miracle cures' to other dragons, that normally either make them worse or don't even do anything at all.

Every Riot of Rot she decorates the entire Carnival in bones and invites nearby plague dragons to share tales of their victories and gourmet foods that only the plague dragons really touch, as the others are afraid of getting sick.
