Biography

Dear Clanmaster,

Greetings! I am Lancelot. I hail from the Nature region. I have journeyed afar in order to join your clan. For years I have been searching for a clan that would suit me the best, and I have found your clan, to my delight, to fit my standards the best.

I am a dragon of secrecy and mystery. You will find that I have a lot of things which I do not wish to reveal to you. I beg your pardon not to hold it against me if I do so. My past isn't something which I desire to remember. Far too many painful memories is scarred deep inside of me. Due to respect, I will, however, reveal some of it to you so you can learn more about me.

My birth clan was very strict with my upbringing. My father was a harsh clan leader. He was a cruel tyrant and a dictator. Naturally, he expected me to follow after his footsteps and become a great leader like him. As a result, I was trained and taught to be both an excellent warrior and a scholar. A dragon who is both wise in combat and knowledge. Perfection had always been expected of me. Mistake wasn't something I could consider.

Unfortunately, this life wasn't something that I wish therefore my young foolish self rebelled against my father. One dark night, I attempted to escape my clan, but to my disappointment, my father caught me. Enraged, he punished me cruelly. On my body you can still see the scars that proves how cruel of a discipline they have me. After my punishment, my father locked me up and told me that I will become his progeny whether I wished it or not. And so, it was inevitable that I became my clan leader when my father died one fateful day.

I thought that I have been set free of his curse. I ruled my clan with equal kindness and discipline; however, a part of me still felt that I didn't belong there. My subconscious mind longed to be somewhere else. I was still quite young and foolish back then. I didn't know that my actions would result into a great catastrophe. Because of this rebellion inside of me, I fled and escaped my clan one night. I walked out and never looked back.

My life from that point had gone smoothly. I was able to travel form places to places in Sornieth. Several years had passed before I thought of going back to my clan. Again, a foolish part of me wanted to see how they were doing. And so, I journeyed back to the Nature region. However, once I had arrived in my clan, I saw nothing there. Only dark and wilted vegetation covered area. Where was my clan? I asked around the area, and my heart dropped when I found the answer.

My clan had been attacked on the same night that I had left. A large group of rogues had silently entered the my clan and launched a surprise attack on my clanmates. Without a leader to guide them, my clan couldn't stand a chance against the pack of rogues. Those merciless fiends burnt down the whole clan till everything was scorched. No traces of my clan had been left.

I blamed myself for this event. If I hadn't been a selfish and foolish dragon, none of this would have happened. I could have successfully led the war against those rogues. Because of this, I found myself unable to be happy. The memory of my old clan still haunts me to this day. How can I allow myself to experience happiness when I allowed my clan to die? ...No, happiness can never be mine.
Pardon my rudeness but let us end this topic here. I wish not to discuss it further as it pains me to remember.

As you may have already realized, I am a warrior by nature because of my upbringing. You'd find that my skill is very will developed. My service will certainly benefit your clan. If you do not wish me to be in that field, I also a dragon of wisdom and knowledge. I do not mind if I am to be a scribe or a scholar. Do not, however, place me in the field of magic as I am weak there. Everyone, of course, has their own strengths and weaknesses.

Lastly, I swear my allegiance and honor to you, old clan master. Unlike my old clan, I will never leave yours. You can rest assure in that matter. Alright then, I think that is all for now. If you wish to know more, we can talk again some other time if you decide to grace me with your presence. I hope that I will enjoy and you will enjoy my stay in your clan.

Yours most respectably,
Lancelot
