Biography

the naming ceremony of clan mythos

Situated at the center of an elaborate logic maze of spellwork, Clan Mythos is a matriarchal clan. To access it, a visitor must either know a dragon within the clan and be escorted, or spend a significant amount of time navigating the maze — which, of course, alerts the clan within to said visitor's presence, allowing ample time to be challenged. (Some rival clans and Beastclans have, of course, tried to blast their way through, and some have succeeded, but each subsequent reset of the maze has made it all the more complicated).

As such, all hatchlings that have elected to leave the clan undergo a naming ceremony where they are given a name by a Council of Three: a Clan Mother (a dragon that has sat at least three clutches, or the clutch mother of the hatchling), a Clan Maiden (a dragon that has never sat a clutch), and a Clan Warrior (a female dragon that has achieved great honor and success in the Coliseum). Clan Maidens need not be inexperienced sexually, and the clutch status of Clan Warriors is immaterial. Additionally, birth sex of the dragon is also immaterial. To qualify for status as a Mother or Maiden, one must simply be able to sit a clutch of one's own body. To qualify as Clan Warrior, a dragon needs to identify as female and have reached at least level ten in the Coliseum.

The naming ceremony is taken seriously, as Clan Mythos, like many clans, has opted to shroud itself with magic. Hatchlings that choose to leave are given a name that contains the same number of syllables as their mother's. Some choose the name themselves; others are given the name by the Council of Three. This number, its rhythmic cadence, and the dragon to whom it is bound are the threefold key to the shortcut through Mythos' spellwork. When the hatchling finds a new home, they may opt to rename themselves, but know that the power of the ceremony will be null and void and they will not be able to find their way back to Mythos again without extensive effort unraveling the spellwork that protects it — unless, of course, their new name still contains the same number of syllables as the one given them in the ceremony.

eucleia
Eucleia's name was chosen for her by the Council of Three. She is energetic, gregarious, and curious, and always seems to be getting herself into and out of trouble faster than the nannies can keep up.

Exalting Eucleia to the service of the Gladekeeper will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
