THE RIGHT HAND

Place of Origin: The Hewn City
Mate: Naira
Backstory: Vesuvius was born to a small clan that made it's home within the haunted and broken walls of the Hewn City. Due to the dark and rough nature of the place, Vesuvius soon learned to fight, cheat, and steal in order to make a living. One day, while Vesuvius was sneaking around to find something to take, he came across a pack of Mirrors that were passing through the city. The pack seemed in some distress, and as Vesuvius got closer he realized that they were being attacked by a four-headed emperor. Rushing forward, he rallied the mirrors around him and guided them to a safe escape, helping them navigate the twists and turns of the city in order to escape the monster. The mirrors thanked Vesuvius and turned to leave, though one mirror, a young female who went by the name Winona, told Vesuvius if he was ever in need of help, or a place to go, to just find her.

Rescue: Vesuvius decided that he had had enough of the city, and decided he wanted to travel and try his luck elsewhere. While he was traveling through the Southern Icefield he spied a wildclaw that had been taken captive. Vesuvius, in a split-second decision, decided to rescue her. He snuck up on her wizard captor and attacked, successfully chasing him off. The wildclaw, Naira, was more than grateful for his help, and told him her story of her own thievery and escape. Vesuvius was impressed, and decided he wanted to stay with the wildclaw. When it became apparent that Naira was cursed, Vesuvius knew he would have to find somewhere to settle down. A tundra from the area told them a story of how one tundra ran off with a mirror to the Viridian Labyrinth, Vesuvius was reminded of the mirror Winona, and decided to travel and see if she was the mirror the tundra was talking about.

The Right Hand: Vesuvius discovered Winona within the Viridian Labyrinth and Winona quickly asked him to join her Clan of the Shaded Wood. She took major convincing to allow Naira in, however, since she seemed to be able to sense Naira's curse. Winona asked Vesuvius to become the clan's second-in-command, remembering his talents as well as her own debt to Vesuvius. Vesuvius accepted, and loyally served the clan, dishing out whatever orders Winona gave him, and questioning her decisions little. He quickly became well-respected and feared within the clan as well as out.
