Biography

Don’t turn your back on her…

If you’re out to late that strange nocturne will get you!

The light doesn’t exactly favor her does it?

These are some of the phrases that can be heard whispered as Senka passes by. Though she is a trusted member of the clan’s border patrol, few other than the clan’s leadership know more of Senka than her name. The midnight colored dragon seems to be all too at home in the dark and even more comfortable in solitude.

Senka’s strange ways have earned her the nickname “Dark One,” and many in the clan are, if not afraid, intimidated by the she-dragon. Known to lurk around the borders at night carrying her cyan lantern before her, the nocturne has become a living legend amongst the clan and a warning story for hatchlings who like to misbehave. Wild tales follow after her about dissecting hatchlings and devouring souls, but no one has ever seen Senka do anything stranger than talk to her pet hookbeak.

However, despite being many things; a formidable opponent, a lurker, a loner, and a lover of darkness, Senka is not the evil dragon that many of clan mates make her out to be. Were she actually such a threat, she likely would have befriended the strange wildclaw, Void. The midnight-colored nocturne is merely a nature dragon with an appreciation for a different side of Gladekeeper’s creations.

Senka favors the dark where things grow, glowing in the moonlight or scuttling through the underbrush at times when only the, provided with night visions, can see the world around them. These things have always fascinated Senka. It is only because her fascination is not a common one that she has developed her solitary lifestyle. One of her favorite pastimes is watching the slow procession of deepmine aardvarks as they lumber softly around caves, rooting for grubs.

This is not to say that Senka should not be regarded with some degree of fear. She makes her way in the darkness with little apprehension. Even Void does not bother to go after her, though he knows she can always be found out alone at night. Senka is well trained in martial arts and defensive magics that most dragons are not aware of. It is an incredible site to watch the antlered-nocturne use her natural powers to manipulate vines and fungus in order to thwart her enemies. Though friendly, Senka is not the dragon to get on the wrong side of especially not in the dark.

Exalting Senka to the service of the Icewarden will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
